Nurturing & Nourishing My Paleo Family

Giveaway Time!!!! PACEout Activewear T-shirt!

In life, everyone needs a pace.

Your pace may change from day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute, but picking your own pace will ensure a strong finish. Life is not about keeping up with others. It’s about starting and finishing strong because the pace you choose…is your own.

pick your pace…stick to it…you’ll finish!

This is the philosophy behind PACEout. PACEout is a clothingline that carries a wide variety of clothes and accessories for men, women and children. The founder of the company, Tara Baraniak, is a woman who has a passion for motivating people into achieving the goals that they desire.

I work-out at the local YMCA and the colors and different styles of PACEout surrounds me day-to-day! We can all take this philosophy and apply it to our own life. We all have a pace in life. The pace we choose will look different than others. My pace is slower than I would like but I look back at myself 50lbs ago and I don’t even recognize the woman that I was. I was weak. I was uncomforable in my skin. I was depressed. My race started when I heard about Paleo and applied it to my eating. I was transformed and I will never go back!

Tara was amazing enough to give me the shirt that she is sponsoring for this giveaway! …and I do LOVE it!  It’s a longsleeve T-shirt with PACEout written on the sleeve and the PACEout slogan on the back! It fits great and I feel empowered wearing it! It helps me to remember the pace and path that I have chosen!

You pick your own size and color! Winner will be chosen December 5, 2012.

  1. I love this Jackie!! I think this shirt also applies to my current life with adjusting to the first month of our deployment. I was just thinking today (week 3) that we are finally getting into our routine. I am excited to set a “pace” and stick to it until we are reunited again!! Lots of things to accomplish this year as long as I set my eyes on the prize. 🙂

  2. Always having to do my own pace, because someone elses, while on short term is good, but I can’t hang. So I stick to what I know, what I can do– and even when it hurts, I finish!

  3. You ROCK Jackie!!! 🙂

  4. Love Tara and I love finding local bloggers!! PaceOut is one of my favorite clothing lines. The quality is amazing, the owners genuine, the mission important. I look forward to getting to know you better. 🙂

As a fitness instructor recovering from multiple surgeries, the PaceOut motto is coming more into play now than ever! I’ve always preached that we should be patient with ourselves and appreciate all our bodies do for us. As usual, easier said than done! 🙂

  6. Tara is awesome. Great giveaway.

  7. I need to remember this motto for everything fitness related. I have been doing these twelve week program, feeling completely burnt out by the end because of too low cal, then I rebound like CRAZY!!! Sure, I got great results at such low cal, but it’s not sustainable for me. I need to find a “pace” that works, so I can avoid this continual lean out/rebound thing I have going on. 🙂 Thanks for this giveaway, Jackie!!! 🙂

  8. I think I can apply this in every area–running, weight-lifting, housework, haha! Really it’s true that you decide what you do and the amount of time you want to do it in; make up your mind and make it happen!

Thank you for this fantastic giveaway! PaceOut’s motto can be applied in my life in three ways:
    1. I am still 10 books away from my reading challenge of 2012 and it is only a month before the year ends. Others might read in a fast-pace, but I prefer reading leisurely.
    2. My dream is to be a diplomat, but everyone knows that the Foreign Service Exam is very challenging and competitive. I am taking my own pace in enjoying my life now while slowly preparing for the test. Hopefully, I will pass it 🙂

Jackie, I just started following you on Facebook because I am so intrigued by the Paleo lifestyle. I have trained off and on in MMA and Jiu Jitsu since my husband’s last deployment in 2009. I have just returned to training this last month after a very long break. It is hard to wrap my brain around the reality that I am not where I was the last time I was on the mat (how we say training). But this entry has helped give me that perception I needed. I WILL reach my goals, in my own time and at my own pace. As long as we keep that in mind then anything is possible. Thank you for the reminder!
